As I walk the road of life  the Lord reveals the tools  I need to meet my daily challenges.  He has revealed to me that He is like a Father whose children are away at school , traveling, or just visiting.  He likes to get mail and phone calls from His kids so that He can help if help  is needed; participate in their rejoicing; share in their difficulties ; encourage when they are discouraged; and basically share in their ups and downs.  Our prayers are like letters or phone calls to Our Father, God.  Although He knows our needs and every thought and deed, He  likes to hear from us.  Perhaps it takes a parent  to recognize the value of letters and phone calls – they take so little effort, but mean so much, and we can reach out and touch Him any time we wish!
